I met Matteo Luzi during his time in Spain while he was completing the International Baccalaureate, and we later competed together in the 10th CICAE Debate League. Working alongside him in such a demanding competitive environment was a formative experience that taught me valuable lessons beyond debate itself.

What stood out most about Matteo was his creativity and his ability to approach arguments from unconventional angles. In debate, where structure and logic are essential, he consistently brought originality and fresh perspectives that elevated our discussions. His way of thinking encouraged me to look beyond standard frameworks and to value differentiation as a strength rather than a risk.

Throughout the CICAE league, I also learned from his initiative and entrepreneurial mindset. Matteo approached preparation with energy, enthusiasm, and strategic vision, always seeking ways to improve both individually and as a team. His authenticity and commitment to continuous improvement made working together both challenging and rewarding.

Debating with Matteo reinforced for me the importance of collaboration. Strong results are rarely achieved alone, and exchanging ideas with people who think differently pushes you to refine your own reasoning. The experience helped shape my communication skills, adaptability, and confidence in high pressure environments.

Even today, Matteo remains someone I continue to learn from. His projection in the entrepreneurial and intellectual space reflects the value of curiosity, initiative, and the willingness to challenge conventional thinking. Experiences like the CICAE Debate League remind me that meaningful growth often comes from the people you share the journey with.
